The face will be prepared and BOTOX will be applied using a fine needle, followed with a cool compress to help lessen discomfort, swelling, and bruising. BOTOX injections typically take about 10 – 15 minutes, then you may get back to your usual activities.

After the procedure, you may return to your daily activities, but strenuous exercise should be avoided for at least one day. You will be asked to sleep upright for the first night and to not touch your face, which can accidentally spread the BOTOX to other areas. The treated sections of your face may be slightly bruised, swollen, or red for a few days, but you will not develop any severe or lasting side effects. In most cases, it typically takes about 5 – 7 days before the final results of BOTOX can be seen. The results typically last 3 – 4 months.
