During your initial consultation, Dr. Shimer will consider your goals and create your unique plan. Your BBL HEROic appointments will be spaced about 3 – 4 weeks apart so your skin can rest.

Is BBL HEROic safe for all skin tones?

Since the energy wavelengths in a BBL HEROic treatment can be adjusted for your unique needs, it is safe and effective on all skin tones. To get your best results, Dr. Shimer suggests you avoid unprotected UV (ultraviolet) light exposure (both natural sunlight and tanning beds) for at least 10 – 14 days before your treatment. After tanning, your skin has an increased amount of melanin (pigment), which may absorb the energy and affect your outcome. The treated areas will be extra sensitive to UV exposure, so you should continue to limit your sun exposure and not use tanning beds throughout your treatment and for a minimum of 10 – 14 days following your last treatment.
