What is Votiva?
With the effects of aging, childbirth, and menopause, the skin and tissue of the inner and outer vagina can lose elasticity, causing functional complications. To treat these feminine health issues, board-certified physician Dr. Tricia Shimer offers Votiva vaginal restoration, a nonsurgical treatment by InMode technologies. Votiva employs the use of radiofrequency (RF) and subdermal heat to treat both the interior and exterior of the vagina to address stress incontinence, sexual dysfunction, laxity, pain, and dryness. Votiva works by delivering RF heat into the vagina to stimulate the body's natural collagen production, rebuilding healthy tissue. This nonsurgical procedure is also a great option to tighten and remodel lax and wrinkled skin on the labia and vulva, enhancing the outer appearance. For more information about Votiva, arrange a consultation at Evolve Med Spa in Dallas, TX.

Ideal Candidates for Votiva
You could be a good candidate for this procedure if you are looking to address certain vaginal issues or aesthetic concerns, but you are not interested in undergoing cosmetic surgery. Ideal candidates for Votiva experience vaginal dryness, sex-related pain, low sexual sensitivity, weak vaginal muscles (particularly due to childbirth), and/or enlargement of the labia. This procedure is also great for enhancing sexual arousal and climax. It can reveal dramatic results without a long recovery. Following treatment, you should be able to return to your normal activities.
Our Vaginal ReSTORATION Technique
Votiva vaginal restoration can be completed in our office in about 30 minutes. No anesthesia is necessary for the treatment, as most patients report very little discomfort. To perform the procedure, a wand applicator will be passed over the exterior labia and vulva. A wand may also be inserted into your vagina as it emits RF energy to the tissues and other internal structures to stimulate collagen, which tightens the area. You may feel a slight warming sensation. A thermometer is built into the handpiece so that the temperature can be monitored and manipulated as necessary to prevent burns and damage. Votiva uses up to two different technologies, depending on the decided course of treatment. FormaV uses RF heat to gently remodel and tighten the inner vaginal tissue while FractoraV works to resurface the labia and vulva.
What to Expect After Votiva
There is no real downtime needed following your Votiva procedure at Evolve Med Spa. You may return to your normal, everyday activities following the treatment. Dr. Shimer recommends patients abstain from sexual activity for 72 hours afterward, in addition to staying out of bathtubs, pools, and hot tubs for the same time period. When you visit our office for your consultation, we will review all of this information with you and address any other concerns you may have.
Do I Need Follow-Up Treatments?
We understand the importance of caring for your feminine health and well-being and want to make sure you maintain your best results possible. As such, Dr. Shimer will most likely recommend you receive three treatments in one-month intervals. Most patients will see results after each session while some may not notice a difference for up to three months following the procedure. Many patients report continued improvements over time. These results typically last around 18 months, but semi-annual or annual follow-up treatments are recommended to preserve them. As always, we will design your individual treatment plan based on your needs.
What does Votiva vaginal restoration address?
Votiva vaginal restoration helps with the loss of elasticity in the inner and outer vaginal area caused by the effects of aging, childbirth, and menopause. It can help with vaginal dryness, sexual dysfunction, pain, laxity, and stress incontinence.
Is Votiva permanent?
Every part of our bodies is constantly changing as we age. That means while Votiva treatments are very effective and last up to 18 months, Dr. Shimer recommends follow-up treatments once or twice a year after your initial treatment regimen, depending on your body’s needs.
Does Votiva hurt?
The Votiva platform has an internal thermometer that regulates the temperature of the radiofrequency (RF) heat being delivered to the treatment area. Most women report feeling only a mild warming sensation during their treatments.
How does Votiva help with incontinence?
Because Votiva vaginal restoration helps to tighten and reshape the tissues inside and outside the vagina, it effectively supports greater bladder control and your pelvic floor muscles.
Restore your Confidence
Votiva vaginal restoration is a promising nonsurgical option if you want to combat some of the signs and symptoms that come along with childbirth, aging, and menopause. Votiva can also improve the appearance of your vagina, as well as your overall feminine health and confidence. When you are ready, call Evolve Med Spa in Dallas, TX at your earliest convenience. Dr. Shimer and her professional aesthetics team look forward to serving you.
